Lamb curry

Somehow i stick to same method in cooking non-veg curries but this time i did little bit variation by adding yogurt and the result is a thick gravy curry perfect to go with biriyani(pulav rice).

Lamb curry

Ingredients:
2 pounds lamb with or without bone cut into pieces
1/3 cup unsweetened yogurt
1 big onion finely chopped
2 tbsp garam masala
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
4 tbsp tomato paste or 1 medium tomato puree
2 cups water
4 chillies
salt and red chilli powder according to your taste
finely chopped coriander leaves

Preparation:

In a bowl mix yogurt, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, salt and chilli powder. Heat oil in a cooker pan and fry the onions till golden brown. Add the meat and yogurt mixture and fry for sometime. Add chillies and tomato paste. Now add water, close the lid and pressure cook for about 4 whistles. Remove the lid and cook until the sauce thickens. Add coriander(i didn't added here). Goes well with rice or roti.

Note. Can also add 3 tbsp almond paste if you want more gravy.

Lamb curry and pulav rice...a tasty meal
